Basketball Recap: St. Mary's Academy Comes Up Short

St. Mary's Academy lost against Lake Oswego back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The St. Mary's Academy Blues came up short against the Lake Oswego Lakers, falling 52-26. While losing is never fun, the Blues can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Lakers are ranked 108th).

St. Mary's Academy has also been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Lake Oswego, they pushed their record up to 11-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, St. Mary's Academy will take on West Linn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Oswego, they will square off against Thurston at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
