Rodriguez came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Pioneer, but Joe Mendez wouldn't allow it. The Patriots came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 36-26 on Friday thanks in part to Mendez, who rushed for 221 yards and one score while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 103.4 rushing yards per game.

The win (which was Pioneer's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.8 points over those games. As for Rodriguez, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Pioneer will square off against Vanden at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings' defense has only allowed 9.7 points per game this season, so the Patriots' offense will have their work cut out for them. Rodriguez does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
