Softball Game Preview: Dalhart Wolves vs. Perryton Rangers

The Dalhart Wolves will head out to take on the Perryton Rangers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Dalhart will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Things were looking good for Dalhart after they put the first run on the board on Saturday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Dimmitt by a score of 11-10.

Audra Jobe led a balanced group of hitters, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jazmin Sanchez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

Meanwhile, Perryton fell victim to Canadian and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 16-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Rangers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Perryton moved to 4-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Dalhart, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Dalhart might still be hurting after the 21-3 defeat they got from Perryton when the teams last played on Thursday. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
