Volleyball Recap: Framingham Comes Up Short

Framingham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Weymouth Wildcats. The Flyers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Framingham took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-11, 28-26.

Framingham's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Weymouth, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-8.

Framingham and Weymouth could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings. The Flyers will square off against Milton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (261 vs. 95). Meanwhile, Weymouth (ranked 208th) will meet Wellesley (ranked 44th) at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
