Volleyball Recap: Hayden Puts Losing Streak Behind Them + How To Watch

Hayden came into Saturday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Grand Valley Cardinals on Saturday. The game was the first time the Tigers have beaten the Cardinals on their court since August 19, 2022.

The win didn't come easy: Grand Valley scored at least 19 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 18-25, 25-19.

Grand Valley's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keirra Medina, who had 24 digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Kyleigh Hernandez, who had 16 digs and 12 assists.

Hayden picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-12. As for Grand Valley, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

Coincidentally, Hayden and Grand Valley will both be playing Caprock Academy the next time they take the court. The Cardinals will head out to face the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Tigers will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
