Preview: Lynn Classical Rams vs. Revere Patriots
Lynn Classical has been on the road for five straight, but on Saturday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Revere Patriots at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
While it was all tied up 18-18 at halftime, Lynn Classical was not quite Salem's equal in the second half on Friday. Lynn Classical fell to Salem 48-44. Despite running the score up even higher than they did two weeks ago (34), Lynn Classical still had to take the loss.
Despite their defeat, Lynn Classical saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Brian Vaughan, who threw for 411 yards and five touchdowns while completing 80.8% of his passes, was perhaps the best of all. Vaughan is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was RJ Faessler, who picked up 227 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Revere had to endure a eight-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They took their matchup on the road on Thursday with ease, bagging a 36-0 victory over Somerville.
Revere's win bumped their season record to 1-5 while Lynn Classical's defeat dropped theirs to 4-2.
Lynn Classical didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Revere in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, but they still walked away with a 20-14 victory. Does Lynn Classical have another victory up their sleeve, or will Revere turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
