Recap: Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks vs. Bozeman Bucks
After flying high against the Wakulla Christian School Saints on Thursday, the Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks came back down to earth. Port St. Joe took a 50-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bozeman. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Port St. Joe has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Port St. Joe lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Bj Cole. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Cole scored 15 or more points. Jaden Jenrett was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Jamie Hernandez was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with nine rebounds for Bozeman. Hernandez is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayden Groves, who scored 12 points.
Port St. Joe's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Bozeman, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Port St. Joe will take on Wakulla Christian School at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Wakulla Christian School is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Bozeman, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Holmes County at 6:45 p.m. on December 12th. Holmes County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 299th, while Bozeman is ranked 66th).
