Football Recap: Mira Mesa Puts Losing Streak Behind Them + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Mira Mesa, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They managed a 24-19 victory over the Crawford Colts on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Marauders as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Mira Mesa didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kamari Black and Cza Brown. Mira Mesa got some further help from Zavien Washington: he picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Defeat or not, Crawford got some senior leadership from Khalid Ali and Collin Hunt. Ali gained 128 total yards, while Hunt picked up 99 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Mira Mesa's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-6. As for Crawford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Mira Mesa will challenge Rancho Buena Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Crawford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
