Football Game Preview: Thomson Bulldogs vs. Carver Tigers + How To Watch

The Thomson Bulldogs will challenge the Carver Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Thomson comes in on seven and Carver on 25.

Thomson is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Callaway by a score of 28-19.

A big part of Thomson's victory came down to the chemistry between Zay Brinson and his top target Jaris Sinkfield. Brinson rushed for 112 yards and two TDs on only six carries while Sinkfield gained 177 total yards. Those 112 rushing yards gave Brinson a new career-high.

Thomson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 250 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Callaway only rushed for 113.

Thomson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kennedi Bailey and Isaiah Coleman.

Meanwhile, Carver's rock-solid defense showed up for the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Friday. They didn't even let Stephens County on the board, marking the Tigers' second-straight 56-0 shutout. Considering the Tigers have won ten contests by more than 25 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Thomson better keep an eye on Kelston Tarver. He was instrumental in Carver's win, rushing for 178 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 carries. Tarver's longest rush was for an impressive 62 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Zach Watts also helped out as he racked up 110 rushing yards.

Thomson's record is now 9-3. As for Carver, their record now sits at 12-0.
