Baseball Recap: Gibson Southern Titans vs. Pike Central Chargers

In what's become a running theme this season, Gibson Southern gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They beat the Pike Central Chargers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. The victory was familiar territory for Gibson Southern who now have three in a row.

Spencer Staggs made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Staggs was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

In other pitching news, Kolton Schmitt looked comfortable as he tossed an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.
