Basketball Game Preview: Glenbard East Rams vs. Fenton Bison

Glenbard East and Fenton are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Glenbard East Rams will take on the Fenton Bison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Glenbard East's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests.

Last Saturday, Glenbard East strolled past North Lawndale with points to spare, taking the game 64-49.

Meanwhile, Fenton came up short against Conant on Saturday and fell 53-42. While losing is never fun, the Bison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 317th, while the Cougars are ranked 146th).

Glenbard East is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Fenton, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-9.

Glenbard East strolled past Fenton in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 65-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Glenbard East since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
