Soccer Recap: StoneBridge Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, StoneBridge was not quite Hampton Christian Academy's equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell 3-1 to the Warriors. StoneBridge were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Hampton Christian Academy earlier this season, when they won 4-0.

This is the second loss in a row for StoneBridge and nudges their season record down to 9-6-1. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 13-2 Atlantic Shores Christian (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 68.3% over those games). As for Hampton Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 7-7-2.

StoneBridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hampton Christian Academy, they will square off against Atlantic Shores Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Atlantic Shores Christian will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Hampton Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
