Baseball Recap: Enka Takes a Loss

Draughn hit Enka with a nine-run third inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Jets lost 12-2 to the Wildcats. The Jets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 8-4.

Enka saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Anderson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

Enka's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Draughn, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Enka will take on Erwin at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. After both having extra time off, Draughn and Mountain Heritage will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 6:30 p.m. on the 29th.
