Soccer Game Preview: Palmetto Scholars Academy vs. North Charleston

The Palmetto Scholars Academy Phoenix will venture away from home to take on the North Charleston Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Palmetto Scholars Academy knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully North Charleston likes a good challenge.

Palmetto Scholars Academy's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Military Magnet Academy with a sharp 6-0 win. Logan Queen was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, North Charleston didn't have quite enough to beat Hanahan on Tuesday and fell 3-2.

Palmetto Scholars Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 51 goals over those ten matchups. As for North Charleston, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Palmetto Scholars Academy beat North Charleston by a goal in their previous meeting back in March, winning 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Phoenix since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
