Soccer Recap: Anna-Jonesboro Falls to Vienna/Goreville in First Game of Season

Anna-Jonesboro had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Vienna/Goreville Eagles, falling 5-0. Christian Thompson was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Anna-Jonesboro will square off against Centralia at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Vienna/Goreville, they will challenge Harrisburg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
