Volleyball Recap: Gateway Takes a Loss

If Gateway was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Jewish Community on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Gators fell just short of The Bay School Breakers by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Gators were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Breakers earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Gateway sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 22-25, 25-22, 21-25, 15-10.

Gateway's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for The Bay School, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-15.

Gateway didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Drew on the 22nd. The Bay School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
