Basketball Recap: Lacrosse's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Two

If Otis-Bison wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played LaCrosse, they should've done a better job of containing Madison Morgan. The LaCrosse Leopards strolled past the Otis-Bison Cougars with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 44-25 thanks in part to Morgan, who went 7 of 12 en route to 20 points and six rebounds. Morgan is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Another player making a difference was Mariah Werth, who posted four points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 rebounds gave her a new career-high.

The win made it two in a row for LaCrosse and bumps their season record up to 4-2. As for Otis-Bison, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. LaCrosse will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on January 7th. Otis-Bison will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Stafford on January 7th.
