Volleyball Recap: Rushville-Industry Takes a Loss

Rushville-Industry lost against Havana back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rockets fell 2-0 to the Ducks. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rushville-Industry was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-19.

Naomi Willis paced Rushville-Industry's offense, picking up six kills. Willis got some help from Italee Ford and her 14 assists. Willis also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Becca Lewis, racking up two apiece.

Rushville-Industry's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Havana, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-7.

Rushville-Industry wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Quincy Notre Dame on the 10th. As for Havana, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Illini West on the 11th.
