Softball Recap: Lakin Comes Up Short

Lakin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Scott Beavers, falling 15-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Beavers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 on Thursday.

Lakin's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Scott, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-4.

Coming up, Lakin will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Elkhart at 4:00 p.m. The Broncs are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Scott, they will head out on the road to face off against Colby at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Beavers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
