Softball Recap: Charleston Comes Up Short

Charleston lost against Salem back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Trojans fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 7-6.

Lainie Keefer made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Rylee Shrader, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Charleston's defeat dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Salem, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 19 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Charleston nor Salem have any future games scheduled.
