Volleyball Recap: Hilliard Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Hilliard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Fernandina Beach Pirates. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Flashes of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-15, 16-25, 25-21, 25-14.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fernandina Beach to victory, but perhaps none more so than Claire Wilson, who had 22 digs. Wilson has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Gemma Unz, who had 15 digs.

Hilliard's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Fernandina Beach, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Hilliard will face off against Eagle's View at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fernandina Beach, they will challenge Andrew Jackson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
