After a string of eight wins, Hutchison's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 51-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knoxville Catholic Fighting Irish. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fighting Irish this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-33 back in November of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Knoxville Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sydney English, who posted 15 points and five boards. The dominant performance gave English a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Amaya Redd, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Hutchison's loss dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Knoxville Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 19-15.

Hutchison does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Knoxville Catholic, they will square off against Christ Presbyterian Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
