Volleyball Recap: Quakertown Gets the Win

Quakertown's tournament run continued when they took on Penn Manor on Saturday. The Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Comets. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Owen Reinford paced Quakertown's offense, picking up three kills. Reinford got some help from Sean Gillin and his eight assists. Vadym Mazurak controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Quakertown's win bumped their record up to 5-9-1. As for Penn Manor, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Quakertown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Governor Mifflin on the 5th. As for Penn Manor, they will head out to square off against Elizabethtown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.
