Softball Recap: Chippewa Hills Takes a Loss

After flying high against Big Rapids last Monday, Chippewa Hills came back down to earth. The Warriors took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newaygo Lions on Wednesday. The game marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Chippewa Hills saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kiara White, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Chippewa Hills dropped their record down to 2-3 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Newaygo, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Lions beat Chippewa Hills by a score of 22-12 later that day.
