Basketball Recap: Atlantic Christian Triumphs

Atlantic Christian won the last time they faced Calvary Academy, and Gianna Flynn did her part to make sure it happened again. The Atlantic Christian Cougars wrapped up 2024 with a 43-29 win over the Calvary Academy Warrior thanks in part to Flynn, who posted 26 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Atlantic Christian's points.

Isabella Santos was another key player, putting up eight points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in rebounds.

Atlantic Christian now has a winning record of 3-2-1. As for Calvary Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Atlantic Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 44-28 loss against Delaware County Christian on the 28th. As for Calvary Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Gloucester County Christian at 4:00 p.m. on January 7th. Gloucester County Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Calvary Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
