It was a good run, but West Greene unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 4-1 to the Elizabethton Fighting Cyclones. The Buffaloes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fighting Cyclones apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

West Greene's loss dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Elizabethton, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-10.

West Greene didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-2 defeat against Grainger on the 28th. As for Elizabethton, they have also already played their next match, a 5-3 loss against Unicoi County on the 28th.
