Baseball Game Preview: United South Central Rebels vs. Medford Tigers

For the first time this season, United South Central will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will square off against the Medford Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. United South Central will be strutting in after a victory while Medford will be coming in after a defeat.

United South Central's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top against Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons by a score of 4-0. The win continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons: they've now won four in a row.

Not much got past Aiden Crabtree, who gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks to keep Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons off the board.

At the plate, Mason Atchley was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Haugh, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Medford kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against Triton, falling 12-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 18 in a row.

Medford saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Maas, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Everything went United South Central's way against Medford in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as United South Central made off with a 10-0 victory. Do the Rebels have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
