Soccer Recap: West Comes Up Short

West lost against Alta back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers lost 4-1 to the Hawks. While losing is never fun, West can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 47th, while Alta are ranked third).

West's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Alta, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.

West will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on East at 5:30 p.m. on the 8th. East will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something West surely won't give up without a fight. As for Alta, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 5-2 victory against Brighton on the 1st.
