Clairemont posted their closest win since September 20th on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Canyon Hills Rattlers, sneaking past 3-2. The game was the first time the Chieftains have beaten the Rattlers on their court since September 17, 2021.

Clairemont was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (106-102), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 26-24, 18-25, 18-25, 25-23, 15-9.

Clairemont's victory bumped their record up to 18-19. As for Canyon Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-7.

Coming up, Clairemont will be playing in front of their home fans against Mira Mesa at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Canyon Hills, they will venture away from home to take on Madison at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
