It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bishop McGuinness had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Idabel Warriors 35-33. The 35-point effort marked the Fighting Irish's lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Hudson Mccormick was the offensive standout of the game as he shot 60% from the field to rack up 13 points. Another player making a difference was Cooper Bradley, who posted seven points.

The win was the third in a row for Bishop McGuinness, bringing their record for this year to 20-9. As for Idabel, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-5.

Looking ahead, Bishop McGuinness will square off against Douglass at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Douglass will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Bishop McGuinness surely won't give up without a fight. Idabel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
