            Baseball Recap: Sheldon Huskies vs. Laguna Creek Cardinals        
        
		
        
        
            Sheldon extended their losing streak  to 11  on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 3-14 in the process. They came up short against  the Laguna Creek Cardinals, falling  10-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
As for Laguna Creek, they now  have a winning record of 11-10. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by ten  runs or more this season.
For Laguna Creek's part,  David Romero looked comfortable as he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits over four innings pitched. Romero also  tossed  no  earned runs, which is notable because the Cardinals are 3-1 when he allows at  most  one  earned run, but 8-9 otherwise.
 On the hitting side, Laguna Creek got a big performance out of  Tyger Peterson, who  went 2-for-4 with three  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. Those  three  RBI gave  Peterson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Sam Stires, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs and one  RBI.
While Sheldon had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
