Softball Recap: Greenwood Comes Up Short

Greenwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 15-2 to the Upper Dauphin Area Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 17-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Greenwood saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nicole Herr, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run. Jayden Brosius also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Greenwood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Upper Dauphin Area, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Greenwood is set to challenge their familiar foe Line Mountain at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Upper Dauphin Area will face off against rival Halifax at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
