Softball Game Preview: Putnam Vo-Tech Beavers vs. Commerce Red Raiders

For the second straight game, Putnam Vo-Tech will face off against Commerce. The Beavers will be playing at home against the Red Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Putnam Vo-Tech is looking for their season's first win.

On Tuesday, Putnam Vo-Tech didn't have quite enough to beat Commerce and fell 12-11.

For Commerce's part, they got a massive performance out of Gianna Perez, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those six RBI gave Perez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Melany Pineda, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

Commerce moved to 4-7 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for Putnam Vo-Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.
