Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Wednesday. Gabrielino blew past South El Monte 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Gabrielino took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-10, 25-13.

Gabrielino is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. As for South El Monte, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Gabrielino is set to challenge their familiar foe Arroyo at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, South El Monte will face off against rival Rosemead at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
