Soccer Game Preview: Menendez vs. Bishop Kenny

Menendez hasn't had much luck against Bishop Kenny recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Menendez Falcons will take on the Bishop Kenny Crusaders at 5:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Menendez comes in on three and Bishop Kenny on six.

Menendez is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They never let Paxon School For Advanced Studies onto the board and left with a 5-0 victory. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Bishop Kenny was able to grind out a solid win over Beachside last Thursday, taking the game 2-0. The Crusaders' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

Emma Baggett and Stella Jones scored both of Bishop Kenny's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Menendez's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Bishop Kenny, they have also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2-2 record this season.

Menendez might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from Bishop Kenny in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Menendez avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
