Softball Recap: Lexington Continues Home Dominance on Monday

Lexington won the last time they faced Jackson South Side and things went their way on Monday too. The Tigers walked away with a 7-3 win over the Hawks. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Lynley White tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Holly Bartholomew, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lane Huskey, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Lexington pushed their record up to 27-12-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Jackson South Side, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lexington is set to face off against their familiar foe Chester County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Jackson South Side will take on rival Hardin County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
