Softball Recap: Cottage Grove Takes a Loss

Cottage Grove blew Sweet Home out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Sweet Home got their revenge. The Lions fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 4-2. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Cottage Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Sweet Home, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cottage Grove will face off against North Bend at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.44 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Sweet Home, they will head out to take on Philomath at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
