Baseball Recap: Saint Thomas Aquinas Snags Sixth Victory in Last Eight Games

Saint Thomas Aquinas extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Florence. They beat the Bobcats by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 4-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-6 back in April.

Saint Thomas Aquinas is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.6 runs over those games. As for Florence, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-4.

Looking ahead, Saint Thomas Aquinas will challenge Lena on Tuesday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Cavaliers surely won't give up without a fight. Florence does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
