Southeast never let their opponents score on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 42-0 win over the DeSoto County Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for the Seminoles, who have now won four contests by 33 points or more so far this season.

Liam Fernandez continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 143 yards and three TDs while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also punching in one rushing score.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Southeast proved: they limited DeSoto County to a paltry two yards per carry. While two picked up at least nine total tackles, Dave Dawes stood above the rest. He picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (5.0 for loss). Southeast's run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 4.13 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 7.57 on average over their last five games.

Southeast didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Darren Duval and Angel Longoria. Southeast received some extra help from Kahleb Crawford, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Southeast, bringing their record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.0 points over those games. As for DeSoto County, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Southeast wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 28-14 loss against Osceola on the 10th. As for DeSoto County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 36-0 defeat against Mulberry on the 10th.
