After having lost a blowout in their previous game against West Las Vegas, Dexter was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Eunice Cardinals 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Demons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Dexter was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-21, 25-18.

Dexter had a senior duo take command as Nalani Cobos had three kills, three aces, and two blocks and Alexa Miramontes had 12 kills and five blocks. Miramontes is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in the last 31 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lanissa Carrillo, who had six kills.

Dexter's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Eunice, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Dexter and Mescalero Apache will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Mescalero Apache: they have been struggling with six straight losses at home, while Dexter has snatched up eight consecutive wins on the road. As for Eunice, a feisty cat fight will be fought when Cardinals faces off against Bobcats at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
