Football Recap: Wiggins Tigers vs. Strasburg Indians
Wiggins lost against Strasburg back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed six in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Juan Hernandez, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
It was another big night for Cade Hemphill, who rushed for 184 yards and one TD while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, and also picked up 51 receiving yards for Strasburg. Those 184 rushing yards gave Hemphill a new career-high.
Wiggins' loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Strasburg, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
