Football Recap: Wiggins Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Wiggins lost against Strasburg back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed six in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Juan Hernandez, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

It was another big night for Cade Hemphill, who rushed for 184 yards and one TD while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, and also picked up 51 receiving yards for Strasburg. Those 184 rushing yards gave Hemphill a new career-high.

Wiggins' loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Strasburg, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Wiggins will look to defend their home field on Friday against Limon at 7:00 p.m. The Badgers' defense has only allowed ten points per game this season, so the Tigers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Strasburg, they will head out to face off against Elizabeth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Indians 9.2, the Cardinals 12) so any points scored will be well earned.
