Basketball Game Preview: Pueblo Central Wildcats vs. Sierra Stallions

The Pueblo Central Wildcats and the Sierra Stallions will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Pueblo Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.4 points per game this season.

Pueblo Central's tournament run continued when they took on Fountain-Fort Carson on Friday. Pueblo Central walked away with a 68-61 win over Fountain-Fort Carson. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Pueblo Central can attribute much of their success to Tayvon Evans, who posted 23 points and five rebounds, and Ladamien Davis, who had 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The match was Evans' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Darrin Hemphill, who put up nine points.

Meanwhile, Sierra was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 66-19 loss at the hands of Pueblo County. The Stallions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-13.

Sierra's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Pueblo Central, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
