League recap: Show throws longest pass in league this season for Abington Heights

J.C. Show and Nathan Hollander provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Dallas. The longest such play in Lackawanna 1 this season, the connection resulted in 55 yards.

Valley View scaled the state rankings by moving to 250 from 328 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Cougars were able to make move up by beating Lakeland 26-21.

Abington Heights's dynamic duo of Show and Hollander proved tough for the Mountaineers to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Show threw for 205 yards and 2 touchdowns and Hollander had 166 yards receiving. Joe Carroll helped Abington Heights' passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 26 yards.

The Comets' dynamic duo of Show and Hollander proved to be unstoppable against Dallas, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Cody Canevari was a key player and the best on defense this week as Valley View defeated the Chiefs. The 5-foot-10 senior racked up 2.0 sacks.

Hollander was the best receiver in the league this week as Abington Heights defeated Bob Zaruta's team.

Scot Wasilchck was the best running back in Lackawanna 1 this week. He ran for 133 yards on 27 carries as George Howanitz's team topped the Mountaineers. Teammate Rob Nardelli added to the ground attack by rushing for 122 yards.

He went 14-17 with 1 interceptions.

Show put up the best numbers through the air as the Comets topped Dallas.

Wallenpaupack Area and Honesdale played the closest game in the league this week, with Wallenpaupack Area eventually emerging with a 28-26 victory.
