Softball Recap: Pace Drops Season-High Score on Gulf Breeze

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pace). They never let the Gulf Breeze Dolphins get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Thursday. Considering the Patriots have won seven matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Zoe Freeman looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gracie Ueberroth, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-4. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in February. Grayson Cox also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Pace always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Pace and bumps their season record up to 12-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Gulf Breeze, they moved to 10-6 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Pace will face off against Milton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Gulf Breeze, they will square off against T.R. Miller at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
