San Marcos won the last time they faced Hueneme and Cole Dominguez did his part to make sure it happened again. The Royals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 35-32 victory over the Vikings on Friday for which the team can thank Dominguez, who rushed for 165 yards and four scores while picking up 9.2 yards per carry, and also picked up 37 receiving yards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 108.7 rushing yards per game.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for San Marcos, racking up 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Isaac Murillo, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

San Marcos' win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5. As for Hueneme, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-7.
