Soccer Game Preview: Booneville vs. South Pontotoc

The Booneville Blue Devils will challenge the South Pontotoc Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. South Pontotoc took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Booneville, who comes in off a win.

Booneville's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Corinth.

Addyson Featherston and Townes Hughes scored both of Booneville's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when South Pontotoc duked it out with Amory on Tuesday. The Cougars came up short against the Panthers, falling 5-0. South Pontotoc haven't had much luck with Amory recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Booneville now has a winning record of 2-1. As for South Pontotoc, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything went Booneville's way against South Pontotoc in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Booneville made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
