Softball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson entered their match against Paulding on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Wildcats lost 14-7 to the Panthers. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Paulding, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Jefferson is taking a road trip to take on Anna at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Paulding, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Ottawa-Glandorf at 11:00 a.m. The Titans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.25 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
