Volleyball Recap: Chaparral Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Chaparral was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They came up short against the Pinecrest Academy Cadence Cougars, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-17, 25-10.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence was led to victory by Cali Wellington and Alessandra Chamnong. Wellington had nine digs and eight aces, while Chamnong had four digs and two aces. That's the most aces Wellington has posted over her last 12 contests.

Chaparral's loss dropped their record down to 1-22. As for Pinecrest Academy Cadence, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-16.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Chaparral and Canyon Springs will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pinecrest Academy Cadence, they will welcome Rancho at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
