Soccer Recap: Newman Smith Takes a Loss

Newman Smith was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lone Star Rangers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rangers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 back in January.

Newman Smith's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Lone Star, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.

Coming up, Newman Smith will welcome Turner at 5:30 p.m. on February 21st. As for Lone Star, they will venture away from home to face off against Highland Park at 5:45 p.m. on February 21st. Highland Park will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Lone Star surely won't give up without a fight.
