Recap: Scotland County Tigers vs. South Shelby Cardinals
The Scotland County Tigers suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 66-35 loss at the hands of South Shelby. Scotland County was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-14.
Callie Mcwilliams was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with seven steals and five assists for South Shelby. Mcwilliams is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last four games she's played. Reese Maupin was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Scotland County are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8. As for South Shelby, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Schuyler County the next time they take the court. South Shelby will host Schuyler County at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, while Scotland County will host them at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
